Landscape Supervisor and Volunteer Trainer

Wade Finlinson is a Landscape Supervisor for the Alameda County General Services Agency. He oversees 455 acres of open space and constructed landscapes for the County. He leads a team of 11 exceptional gardeners who skillfully adapt to ever-changing and complex conditions affecting the County’s diverse portfolio of landscapes.

As a volunteer trainer with the Training and Education Center, Wade teaches a number of sessions that include Emotional Intelligence, Trust and Ethics, and the Ethics portion of the Supervisor Development Program.

Wade has a Bachelor’s of Science in International Studies and a Masters of Landscape Architecture—embracing Sir Patrick Geddes charge to “Think global, act local.” He is a Park aficionado in his leisure time, and spends an inordinate amount of time in the precious public spaces scattered across the region with his three young children.
