Child Welfare Worker, Volunteer Trainer

Lolita Nunn, MSW is a Child Welfare Worker, Placement Unit with Alameda County’s Social Services where she provides responsive and comprehensive placement services to children in need of out of home placement. Lolita has some twelve years of experience working within the communities of Alameda County with children and families, including relative family approvals, supervised independent living placements, recruitment services, as well as collaborative work with foster family agencies, relatives and short term residential therapeutic programs.

Lolita is a graduate from California State University, East Bay with a Master’s in Social Work. Lolita uses her skills in a variety of leadership roles, sitting on the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) as a Parent Advocate for Alameda County’s youth regarding professional development. Lolita also assisted this Board in implementing REALM Charter School, the first Charter in Berkeley with the assistance of Victor Diaz. Lolita is excited to participate as a volunteer trainer with TEC and hopes to see the Center continue to grow and touch each employee in a meaningful way that will help them be more efficient in their work for the communities we serve.
