Leadership in Action: From Insight to Impact

As we move into the second quarter of the year, leadership development remains a critical investment in our County’s success. In March, we celebrated a new cohort of Developing the Leader in You (DLP) graduates who strengthened their self-awareness and leadership identity. In April, we continue building leadership capacity through our upcoming Supervisor Development Program (SDP).

Our programs are designed to support leaders at every stage — from emerging leaders building foundational awareness to supervisors strengthening applied leadership skills.

🌱 Developing the Leader in You (DLP) 🌱

In March, we completed another powerful DLP cohort. Participants reflected on how deepening their self-awareness is transforming the way they lead.

“DLP helped me understand how my natural strengths show up in leadership situations and how to use them in healthy, meaningful ways. The self-awareness I gained has changed how I approach conflict and growth as a leader.”
— Gabriela P., Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Behavioral Health Unit

DLP focuses on personal leadership development, strengths awareness, emotional intelligence, and navigating conflict with intention.

📅 The next DLP cohort begins in June 3rd, 2026 and runs for 6 weeks thru July 8, 2026.

🔗 Registration is now open.
