Reasonable Accommodation

The Alameda County Training and Education Center is committed to ensuring that all participants are offered the best training experience when visiting the Center. The Training and Education Center will do our best to fulfill requests for reasonable accommodations, by providing appropriate auxiliary aids and services for qualified individuals with disabilities. If you require a reasonable accommodation, please state this when enrolling in a course or contact our Training Programs Coordinator, Tamara M. Mabry at tamara.mabry@acgov.org as soon as possible, but no later than three business days before the scheduled program.

The Center will not place a surcharge on an individual with a disability or any group of individuals with disabilities to cover the cost of providing these auxiliary aids/services or reasonable accommodations. In determining what type of auxiliary aid or service is necessary, the County will consider the request, however, neither the Americans with Disabilities Act or state laws require the Center to take actions that would fundamentally alter the nature of our programs, activities or services, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden.

Fragrance Sensitivity

To ensure the comfort and safety of all Training and Education Center participants and visitors, including those with perfume and chemical sensitivities, you are encouraged to voluntarily refrain from wearing fragrances and scented products.

For non-County sessions or events, contact the sponsoring agency or individual with specific request for any reasonable accommodations.
