With a heart for transformation and a passion for growth, Ruth has made it her mission to inspire individuals and organizations to rise to their highest potential. As an experienced facilitator, manager, and coach, she thrives on guiding people toward greater self-mastery and unlocking their full leadership potential. Ruth specializes in leadership development, ontological coaching, organizational capacity-building, and cultivating high-performing teams. Her approach is holistic, integrating mindfulness; trauma-informed practices; diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging; and eco-systemic thinking.
Before joining the Training and Education Center, Ruth’s professional journey spanned diverse fields, including education, nonprofits, and human services. She has led teams, designed transformative learning and development programs, and coached organizations to foster cultures of learning, inclusion, and excellence. Her work extends into the community, where she’s served as an executive director, board member, and consultant for Bay Area organizations focused on youth empowerment, violence prevention, arts and culture, and the Asian Pacific Islander community.
As a passionate educator, Ruth has also taught graduate and undergraduate courses in human rights education, ethnic studies, and sociology. Ruth is a published author, holds a Ph.D. in Education and Sociology, and is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.
Outside of work, Ruth enjoys hiking, traveling, writing, building community, and spending time with her loved ones.
