On December 4th, family, friends, colleagues and mentors gathered to celebrate the Management and Supervision Certificate program graduates. This was the 13th graduating class from this longstanding partnership between Laney College and Alameda County. This is an accelerated 14-month program, which combines management theory with day-to-day practical application.
These graduates have sacrificed time with their loved ones and money from their own pockets to invest in their future. For many graduates, this is an introduction to higher education and a first step in a long path of career development.
Our education programs coordinator, Claudio Lane, inspired by the hundreds of students he has supported over the years, joined this cohort as a student and now, graduate.
