It is our pleasure to announce that Dominique B. Burton has accepted the position of County Training and Organizational Development Manager in the Training & Education Center Division.

Prior to joining us, Dominique served Alameda County for over five years as both the Workforce Development Manager for Health Care Services Agency and Assistant Manager of the Diversity Programs Office.

Dominique is an Oakland native and holds a Juris Doctorate from King Hall, UC Davis – School of Law and a Bachelor’s in African-American Studies and Comparative Politics from Wesleyan University Middletown, CT.

Before joining Alameda County, she enjoyed over 15 years of multidisciplinary professional experiences in both the public and private sectors. She is certified as a Diversity Executive, HR Professional, and remains active on several Northern Californian Boards. She is a founding member of the local chapter of the National Association of African Americans in HR and sits on the Government Alliance on Race & Equity and the Bay Area Regional Health Inequities Initiative ad-hoc curriculum development committee.
