Please, join us as a candidate for the Training & Education Center’s 2020 Train-the-Trainer’s Academy! This program is for Alameda County employees only.
The Academy is being planned for:
May 1st 9:00 am- 4:00 pm: Facilitation 101 Skills
May 8th 9:00 am- 4:00 pm: Design & Development Clinic
May 15th 12:00 pm- 5:00 pm: Mini Presentations
Upon successful completion of this May Academy, you will be asked to join us as a Volunteer Trainer and will be assigned a Training Mentor/Coach that will assist you with prep to facilitate your first session. For that first class, you will join your mentor/coach or another TEC trainer as a co-facilitator. Eventually when you are ready with that topic, we will schedule you to lead one session every quarter for up to 16 months.
In addition to specializing in one class, you will have the opportunity to expand to other topics and will have access to other special “TEC trainer only” developmental and learning opportunities. You will become an important part of growing the Center towards our mission of becoming the East Bay’s premier learning center.
Please fill out the 2020 Volunteer Trainer’s Academy Interest Form and submit to Maria Martens by March 27th at 5:00pm.

March 27th
Interest Forms Due to maria.martens@acgov.org before 5 pm.
April 3rd
Selected candidates will be invited for a 20-minute interview, with a 10-minute mini-presentation on a topic of your choosing.
April 10th
2020 Academy acceptance letters will be sent to successful candidates and their supervisor’s for approval.
April 17th
Last day to accept space in the 2020 Academy and submit supervisor’s approval.
